Get to Know Lyndsey…

Lyndsey Holmes has always been passionate about music and community, deeply rooted in her faith and creativity. A lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lionville, Lyndsey was baptized and confirmed there, spending her summers at Vacation Bible School and participating in the St. Paul’s Players theater group. After graduating from Roanoke College with a degree in music, she returned to Lionville to serve as Director of Music Ministries at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection (now Exton UMC).

Lyndsey later spent nearly a decade in Chicago, where her career flourished as an arranger and background vocalist for gospel musicians, a conductor for the Chicago Children’s Choir, a music teacher at The Frances Xavier Warde School, and a music coordinator and cantor for Old St. Patrick’s Church. Her work in musical theater has been equally robust, both on stage and behind the scenes. Notable onstage roles include Maria in The Sound of Music, Luisa in The Fantasticks, Lucy in Jekyll & Hyde, and Cinderella in Into the Woods. As a Music Director, she has helmed productions such as The Pajama GameBells Are Ringing, and Sweet Charity at The Barley Sheaf Players and Nunsense with Revival Productions.

Recently, Lyndsey was the Director of Music at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where she led a variety of vocal and instrumental ensembles.

Today, she serves as a mentor through her private piano and voice studio. She also recently joined the 49ers Chorus as accompanist.

When she’s not making music, Lyndsey enjoys baking, spending time with her husband, Gordon, and their daughter, and continuing to perform in musical theater. She is grateful for the chance to share her love of music and her faith with her community and beyond.
